I picked up a couple of cards today

I stop in at my LDS today and picked up my Deep dive and my Nav cards to day ...WooHoooo. I'm going on my night dives Saturday and this will complete my Advanced course. Tuesday I have a CPROX1st and AED course, this might come in handy as I work in a Lab in a large practice I was wondering though... what does everyone do with all the cards. I have 4 ...fixin to get 4 more ( night, computer,CPR, and advanced) Now I understand you don't have to carry them all in your wallet(mines getting to the 4 inch mark ...time to clean it out) Does everyone dump them all and just carry the one?

I don't carry cards in my wallet. I have the various cards required for various breathing gases in my truck, but rarely pull them out since my shops known me. On the rare occasions that I boat dive, I throw one in my pocket before boarding.

I have mine in a small leather "DayTimer"/"DayRuunner" like book/case that I use as a dive log. you can find the plastic holder sheets for them at any business products store. I never pull them out, but like to keep them in one place so I know where they are. When I travel, I take my logbook with me in my carry-on so I always have it and don't lose it and can be certain to dive even if gear gets misdirected....

With SSI, the Master Diver card will list up to 5 specialties (actually, S&R plus 4 others), so that's all I ever have with me. Very convenient.

Thats a good idea JMcD... I didn't think of something like that. I always carry my dive log with me . Guess I need to invest in a better log book. It's funny but I just went and bought extra log book pages ( 7.95) at the LDS. They want 29.95 for a bigger better log book and I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. I now have the same old cheap piece of plastic that I started with... now with more pages

But I guess theres nothing wrong with that

I carry an OWI card and a EAN card. The rest are nailed to a door in my garage.

I have a combined PADI AOW/Nitrox card, and that's all I ever use. My old delaminated AOW card and original Nitrox card live in my save a dive kit, in case I forget my usual card. Any other stuff, hmm, no idea where they've gotten to. Possibly shimming a table leg somewhere.

No one wants to see those cards. Carry your OW or AOW and your EANx. Make photocopies of the cards and carry them separate from the cards when traveling. Same as you do for your passport.

Thankfully the agencies seem to finally be getting things online. I know SSI has a complete image of c-cards that can be viewed on their website. Really lessons the fear of losing or forgetting a c-card when traveling and having that ruin a trip. Granted, not all shops/dive ops have internet access, but I would imagine that many do.

I picked up a few of the plastic bussness card holder sheets
I keep them in my log book, along with my DAN and Fla state park cards
