i'm sure ya'll can help me out. i'm going to grand cayman and cazumel at the end of this month and i'd much rather book the diving charters now than through the cruize lines. any information would be great!

i will be filming all my dives so i'll be sure to put them up on the web when i get back for everyone to enjoy.

thanks,

capt. ben bateman

Red Sail IS the cruise ship dive operator. from RedSail's website:
We are the on-island dive operator for the following cruise lines:
Royal Caribbean International,
Celebrity Cruise Line
The Disney Cruise Line.

I'd try Neptune Divers - PM caymancase here, or Wall to Wall Diving - PM CJ's here.

Since Ivan the diveop selection has gotten a little tighter, I've read recently that both TIDivers and Bob Soto's have closed for good. Not good.

I don't know the status of Fisheye Photo, but they're probably the diveop most conducive to u/w photo/video diving. I don't know what your arrival time is, but here's a link to their cruise ship operation: http://www.fisheye.com/diving.html#

Unless things have changed, some of the diveops can't pick you up at the dock if you book your own reservation. Pre-Ivan a lot of them had free van pickups nearby though. Otherwise you'll have to catch a cab to their location. So you might want to confirm this with whoever you book with.

There's a lot of people on the streets of Georgetown when your boat docks(drops anchor - everybody is tendered in) Especially if you're not the only ship, which is usual. We saw three ships one day, including that huge Voyager of the Seas. We almost couldn't drive through town, the sidewalks were overflowing - it's not a big place. And being tourists, no one was watching where they were going.
