I have just over 200 cold water dives and 34 warm water dives,am rescue certified and completed the DIR-F course.
This really saddens me to have to resort to this.I'm looking for a buddy with simular experiance or a newbie with a great attitude and a good sence of humor.
The reason I need a new buddy is that my buddy is not pulling his weight financially.
I've even offered him a job.
This is kinda heartbreaking since we have lots of dives together...but I'm just not going to continue this relationship under these terms...I mean he's never offered to pitch in for gasoline, air fills or food because he thinks I can afford it.
Other than the next several Saturdays (gotta watch my boy play football) I have a very flexable schedule, weekdays, weeknights, and Saturdays good for me.
Sundays are OK if it's a super early dive or 2 because I like to mentally prepare for the next week.
I like to dive 2 to 3 weekends per month.
I'm located in the east bay and the drive for me is just over 90minutes to Monastary with out traffic.
A good sence of humor would be appreciated

I'm in the same boat.

I've had many buddies, some more reliable than others. Since taking DIR-F last month I've met many people and have been diving almost every weekend since August. Still, I'm without a regular buddy.

I've done 150+ dives over the last 11 years, mostly in Monterey. Training was SSI through Stress/Rescue, Master level diver, divecon candidate (dropout.) I'm a good enough diver and interested in developing my skills and extending my range. Nothing too extreme, but beyond recreational limits. I'm close to having doubles and plan to take rec triox fairly soon.

Maybe we can do some diving. Sense of humor is good :)

Try http://www.sauedir.com Nice people for the Sacramento area.

Josh,
I know some of the folks at saue from taking my DIR-f class with them.
I consider them a class act.
A better group of folks would be hard to find.
It's just a darn shame that my commute is closer to Monterey.
BTW, Jason,Jeananne and James it was my pleasure getting to know you a bit and am looking forward to more of it.
Andy

I'm closer to Monterey too. 75 mi. S. of Sac. 2 hrs. from Monterey. 3 hours from Tahoe.

Maybe Monterey this weekend? Brian? I need a couple nice, boring skills dives before the make up/XP day Nov. 14.

My weekend schedule's pretty much open.

hey guys, I have mon, tue, and wed off. O,ya I also have a 16.5' inflatable. LETS GO DIVING. I will dive anywhere. and in almost any conditions. I'm reading the DIR-f book right now and have most of my dir gear. I am looking to go diving with a group of good people with no drama. I would like to get more into wreck diving with a good team.

No drama????
God that's a breath of fresh air.
Yes let's go diving.
Send me a PM and we can do this.
Are you considering taking the DIR-f class?
I'm really looking to dive with people with simular goals & expectaions and humor is a good thing.
Having a smile on with a good attitude makes things so much more enjoyable.
Andy

Edited to add I own a boat and make a good boat guest.

Hi Brian,

If you haven't checked out our local website, please feel free to do so. If your looking for a good group of people to hang out with, the SAUE group sure is a lot of fun. We get together all the time and go diving from Tahoe to Monterey...and everywhere in between. If you have any questions please PM me and I'll be happy to help.
