I'm sure like many people out there, when we try new software I like to know all the features...... some would not have known about the "ignore" feature if it weren't for you!
BTW - Natasha seems like more of Wendy's girl to me........

I've been watching Jep play you guys. The timing of his latest ruse was not coincidental. Uncle Pug is right, Lawman is the Super Troll, and Jep was feeling the heat and needed to score big. Professing his love for you, and changing the avatar was classic.
I think we should have a poll for your favorite troll posts of 2002. Kind of an end of the year award for your most lovable troll. Here are a few that must be included in the poll:
1. Lawman is attacked at LDS by satanic DIR mob with long hoses wrapped around their necks;
2. Jep's "clip the teddy bear off as a stage" thread;
3. And, of course, this one, "Jep professes his love for scubaboard members."
Note that there are two different approaches to trolls, which I would call 1) The apologetic troll, and 2) the unapologetic troll.
The apologetic troll style is embodied in Lawman. He set's you up with a good subject, like "Is DIR a cult?" And then, when confronted with angry replies, he plays the victim in the whole thing ("I'm not trolling, I'm just trying to post a valid topic. Don't mean to offend anyone..."). Lawman pulled off his first troll during registration, by naming himself "Lawman," and thus making himself a lighting rod right out of the gate.
Of course, Jep is an example of the unapologetic troll. Set em up and knock em down, openly declaring victory at another successful troll post.
Look at it this way, most of us can't dive right now. Either it's too cold, the wind won't stop blowing, or, like me, you've got a winter cold kicking your butt, so you couldn't dive even if conditions were good. Trolls do provide a source of entertainment, and should not be shunned.

I know Jason aspires to be a troll... and at first I thought I would give him a little encouragement in his quest... but then I realized something:
Jason will never be a successful troll because he is too needy!
What he really needs is love... and this thread was a cry for attention, acceptance and affection.
And Jason... even though you will never be the Troll of Scuba Board... I love you... and reading back through this thread you can see that how many of us love you... we know you are hurting... and we care!
We will continue to pretend annoyance with your posts... as an act of love... we know you try hard.

But Lawman is the Troll of Scuba Board.

I'm kind of confused..UP might be right...I might be lacking attention lately. I feel shuned by the members of scubaboard and rightly so and this might have been a cry for attention.
By definition I do consider myself a troll, but the real reasoning for my posts are unclear right now. I hardly post anything meaningful or useful to anyone on here..I just lurk around waiting to cause trouble or make some immature remark....this could be a cry for attention. :/
I really need to get out and dive though..I wasnt this emotional when I was diving.
I do have feelings you know...sniff sniff...I think im gonna cry.
O2 Clean, I really dont love you either, but you sure are ok.
My girlfriend is freakin hot as heck though. She really does it for me....awwwwwwwwww SAPPY
