I'd post in the FL Divers areas to find a good outfit to dive with. There also are some very friendly people over there that may want to hook up to do some diving with a fellow limey from the UK

I'm new to diving, and don't live in FL, but darn if this is not one of the friendliest places on the net I've participated in. I'm looking very forward to my next FL trip (I have relatives there) so I can try and meet some of these nice people.

You did not say when you are going to FL, but currently WPB is a mess, and the diving is not so good. Talking to my cousin who lives in Ft. Pierce, it could be a month or more before things get back to reasonable in the vis catagory.

I noticed that the Keys had things going again after being shut out much of Aug and early Sept.

When are you coming this way? Prior to hurricane frances, I dived the WPB area at least twice a week. I'm always up for a dive, as well as my fellow Florida Conch divers.

I am diligent at both sports but I would have to say that I am glad that I am better at scuba diving than I am at golf.

I totally agree. When I am asked what my handicap is, I reply....."My swing". I just started playing about a year ago, taken a few lessons, but sheesh getting that little white ball where you want it to go is MUCH harder than it looks.
