I haven't test that BCD, but Mares has good quality gear so you probably got a good deal, $200.00 for a BCD with weight integration sounds good to me.

Actually, that bid was 200 British Pounds (plus another 7.50 pounds for shipping) ... that's about $400 USD ...

Ummm, my mistake, kind of pricey if you ask me, but good quality for sure, hope he enjoys it.

I have this BCD as well, done about a 100 dives with it. Works fine, stable in the water. You will probably like it.
Mine looks a little bit worse now, the "silver" coating on the pockets has disappeared after 1 1/2 years. But still in perfect working order.
I have never used the weight integrated pockets though (diving in the Netherlands with a wetsuit requires too much lead, prefer a weightbelt).

However, mine will probably be sold next year to be replaced with a BP/W (DIR-F for next year).

The owner of my LDS alternates between that rig and a wing. Different dives different rig.. he likes that one for when he's doing fun shallow dives and when he's instructing OW/AOW classes. I asked him about it and he told me "It's similar to what his students prefer and comfortable to work in." If your not tech diving, I'm sure it will be comfortable for you in your dives :D

Please note, for this to work if you only have one regulator setup, you would need a compatible LP hose. Now, I wonder why they gave me another LP hose for my BP/W, will it fit on my Seaquest Black Diamond???

When the shops receive BC's, they also get a LP inflator hose with them. Some stores keep them and charge you for them, others give them to you as part of the price. I have heard there are some that need there own inflator connection, but almost all BC's i have seen use the standard connection, just a few odd ones here and there.

In my case i went out and bought another LP inflator hose as i wanted it shorter than the stock size to be more streamlined (less of a snagging hazard) although may get use out of the old one on my doubles rig running it from my right post as it looks long enough! ;)

Then ouch... we sell the Dragonfly new for $269.95 and shipping to the UK is about $40... But I don't know what customs charges would be.

And yes, all BC's come with an inflator hose, and the one for the Dragonfly is no different that one that would fit any other BC (unless you have an octo inflator on the other BC)

hi all
thanks, i had looked for priced in the states before i placed the bid, best i found was about $300 + shipping with the weight belt puches, so i figured £207 wasn't such a bad deal, if i had gotten hit by UK inport tax they would want 17.5%, so it would have come to more than what i have paid, i only looked and found one price here in the UK for it and that was £375, so i'm quite happy
it says complete with inflation hose, so it'll be hopefuly plug in and play
next i'll need to think about weights, shot or blocks

or just thinking heavy thought's ;) ;)
i thought about a wing, but if i don't like it's money lost, but i have heard of a cheapie that might be worth a try
