6 to 15 dingis at the Blue Corner, 20-40 divers hooked into the reef waiting for some sharks, this was not my favorite. German Channel: 30 people waiting for Manta rays, walls of bubbles. Ulong Channel and Jellyfish Lake were nice. The islands away from Coror were also nice but I didn't like the whole package to much, I would never go to Palau again.

Were you diving from a land-based dive op? Sounds like you were there with the crowds during mid-day. Being on a liveaboard, we were at every dive site alone - the only exception was at German Channel when both days groups showed up after us, but they weren't very good divers and didn't last long. Other than that, we never had another dive group at a single site except at Ulong when 2 divers showed up. Being on a liveaboard makes for a whole different experience!!! We did Blue Corner 3 times, one morning early before day boats arrived and 2 afternoons around 3-4pm when day boats had left - no divers but us. Our full day at Peleliu we were the only boat there, too. Liveaboards make such a difference in places like Palau!
Sorry you had such a bad time.

Hi, when we startet from Peliliu (stayed there a week) some places were OK because we were early too. Interestingly, the Dingis from 2 or 3 Liveaboards were around together with us. So there was no difference between the liveaboard and us. So, maybe my point is: I would never go to Palau again, because I was disappointed about marine life in general. Some say that this is the best dive site in the world. I think it is far from it. A guy told me about 90 dives at Blue Corner. He saw once 100 sharks and a tiger shark. The rest was like our dives together. Maybe it WAS one the best places. I don't know. Everyone's tase is different. I like the area around Galapagos, Malpelo, Socorro most. These places are my alltime favorites.
