Hi all.
THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to answer my questions about fears of mask removal and cold water diving.
Okay, whomever said 57degrees wasn't that cold... GUESS WHAT?
Today, it wasn't.
We had a 90 degree day outside, so by the time we were loaded up with our gear, we were practically running to get in the quarry.
I had 3 dives today. I cleared my mask twice, no problems! All that practicing in the pool, my tub, and sink full of cold water worked.
My dive computer even said we hit 30' and it was 48 degrees!!!
Someone wonderful :) suggested kayak socks, those things rock!
I had a hard time with navigation, but got the hang of it!!!!!
So, thanks thanks thanks.
I'll dive the Fantasy Lake rock quarry again, but I think I'll wait 'til it's a bit warmer.
Oh, and I had tons of hot water on hand to warm me up... didn't use one drop of it.
I guess my first dive last week ... my nerves got the best of me, plus my not eating/drinking enough before the dive.
So, for anyone out there doing their OWCD in cold water... eat a big fat dinner, breakfast and drink tons of water!!!!!!!
Heading to Belize in 2 weeks, I can't wait to see clear water, pretty fish, and be able to see 10' in front of me...

Congrats on the C card. Have fun on your trip!!!!! If you are diving with and someone has a camera as for his/her email address so that you can get some of the pics from your trip.

Congrats, it's quite an achievement.

Now that you've got your certification, don't forget to continue to practice your skills and learn new ones constantly.

Bratface!!!!
It was great... Andy was very nice and fun to dive with too.
My ear is all clogged up though LOL...
Hope to meet you soon :)

I use some rubbing alcohol dripped in to the ear and a towel on the outside of the ear. I uss the towel to move the outer ear around and catch the water.
