Finding old anchors and especially chain is always a bonus if you own a boat. I'll even pull up old line if it's in good shape - you can never have enough dock/anchor line.
I asked an old duffer one time why he had collected so much stuff. He replied,"After i'm dead and gone, it will take my wife and family 20 years to get rid of it." He said he smiled every time he thought of his brother-in-law, or wifes future husband wondering where one of his "treasures" came from or why he would even want it.Sounds like a great living legacy, my wife ain't buying it!! :wink:
