I don't know anything about coral. What's this called? Found on the Pitons, St. Lucia

I found this while diving in St. Lucia at the Pitons. I barely remember taking the picture. It was my first drift dive so I spent most of my time watching my depth gauge. I would just snap a few photos here and there as I flew by something.

I don't really know anything about the different types of coral. Any links to site that can help educate me are appreciated.

It's not a coral. This critter is a Golden Crinoid, a feather star, inside an Azure Vase Sponge.

Thanks. I saw some other Azure Sponges that were almost iridescent. I tried to get pictures but the camera didn't capture them well.

Thanks for the help. The underwater world is so unusual and different from above. I have a lot to learn.
