i went out today and did a 109 ft wreck in miami. this is my 5th dive sence my cert and i loved it. the only thing i did not like is that i have to come back up from the wreck. now if i can just find a way to stay down longer saver (like a week at a time) thin i MIGHT be happy.

well save diving
brian

Uh, I enjoy those kind of dives, too, but I did my AOW trainging first. Did a Dive Professional tell you that you were ready for this one? Curious.

Glad you enjoyed it, and survived. Do Nitrox training with your AOW, and you can stay 50% longer on the wreck when you go back.

i was lucky enough to go down with an instructor that was on the boat as well. plus i feel with all the freediving and the little scube i have done this was no big deal. plus i went by the computer and did as it said.

thanks
brian

hi
You might want to consider tech diving after your 50 so dives since you enjoy depth..tech dive safely brings you to diving deeper and safer.

I would recommend doing deep spec, nitrox and wreck spec as your next 3 goals.. I did my nitrox and deep last week. But i can't do my wreck since i'm leaving oz soon. Wreck is so much fun..

Do you mean that when you decided to do this dive you were not counting on the presence of a more experienced diver?
Or do you mean that you only did the dive because there was an instructor available?

I trust you also planned the dive before jumping in the water...

i went on the dive knowing that there was an instructor going with us. i was on a 6 pack boat and there was 2 instructors and a dm on the boat with us. so in total there was 1 student 1 person on vacation and me. when i book this dive i knew of the instructors and the capt. was not going to let me go on the dive but he felt comfortable with my abilayt and the fact that there was 2 instructors in the dive group. so we both agread that i can go on the dive. i have the guts to do even deeper dives but i lack the training. my goal is to do a 200+ foot dive on trimix within 2 years. i live in sunny south florida have my own boat and am going to try to dive at least 4 dives a weekend (2 a day) until i get more experance and training to go trimix. with in a mounth i am going to do my advance and then nitrox and then dive dive dive :eyebrow: .
i always love the water and have no fear of it or anything that is in the water (salt only).

so any teck divers out there want to give me any pointers i am all ears :cwmddd:

thanks

Go slow and advance only when you are truely ready.

IMHO with only 5 dives under your belt I doubt you likely have much more than an inkling of what ready actualy means.

Please corect me if I am wrong, but it sounds like you did a 109 foot trust me dive. That sends up all kinds of red flags for me. If you don't understand why that is a bad thing you need to step WAY back from the technical diving end.

Surving a 100 foot dive like you did, like I did on a Discover Scuba coure on the far side of the Caribbean before I even got certified, is one thing.

Learning how to plan and execute the dive safely is more. Hope you continue to enjoy Scuba, and continue Training, but as politely suggested by others, you are not at all ready for "...so any teck divers out there want to give me any pointers," other than prudent training and reaonsable dive practice.

I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT NOT TAKING THE ADVICE I ASK FOR
i am just stating the facts about me and my lack of fear of the oceans creatures but i do rescpect them and know my limits. i am not a careless diver and do plan and dive within my limits. i am going for mt AOW and NITROX within the next month and try to beter my self and learn new skills in diving. i have a bug and i am running with it. i got started with the freediving and got a chance to see what i am missing at 50 ft+ so i took up diving with tanks. ;)

as far as that chip you know where that can go
