A couple days ago there was this 13 year old boy on my dive boat doing his advanced. His parents were not there. I noticed his skin was all pink and mottled like someone going into DIC or anaphalaxis...but he looked like he felt fine. So, I said "hey what is the deal with your skin?". And he said "the doctor's say I had a mild case of frostbite". I asked him when that was and he proceeded to tell a story about his friend falling into an icy lake, going into shock, and he jumped in to rescue him. Then, a third person rescued them both from above. He claims that his skin has looked this way ever since (it was about a year ago). I was fascinated as I have never heard, seen anything like this. His skin looked like he had superficial circulatory damage and it was his entire body. Anybody ever heard of anything like this?
