Hey divers,
I'm picking up a couple AL80s this weekend. One has a year left on hydro, and the other expired in 2012. I've found a place that charges $17 for the hydro & VIP.

My question is, will there be a problem with getting them both hydro'd? Is there any problem with getting a tank hydro'd early? I'd rather pay the $17 now rather than waste time going twice every 5 years.

What halocline said.

Good price. My tank is coming due for a hydro in October 2014 and a VIS in May. Will more than likely get it done in May.
My best price around here is $12 for VIS and $35 for hydro.

Hm that sucks. I'm getting a couple tanks hydro'd up in cleveland, and one down in jacksonville (bought it over thanksgiving, didn't fly back with it). Down in Jax you can get hydro+vis for $25, which isn't bad.

Are you calling scuba shops or fire testing companies? Because the scuba shops all wanted $40+ for hydro and vis.
No thanks, it's already a drive to the scuba shop. I'll just go there instead for less.
