I spoke with an engineer involved in the new pier's planning and construction contracting. The contract is to be let shortly and work is to begin by mid-March. The first part of the work will be to take out the remains of the old pier. If you want to dive it, get it done by the end of the first week in March is what I was advised.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

D'Oh, another decent beach dive eats it.

Damn, I can't wait for my wrecks to uncover again :P

We are only one storm away from some new pier rubble!

Drats..... That was a nice dive. Maybe a few spots will be discovered in the bay as being nice dive spots. Ugh....

Oh, you know I am just a Sci Fi Nerd! Okay, just to clarify....Mat IS the Sci Fi Guy...not me. I am pretty much a Sci Fi hater. In fact, Mat loves Sci Fi so much I snapped this picture when he took his wetsuit off during our last dive.

Sweet Tat Mat!

I know Glen is a big Star Trek fan, so...

Did they say they were going to haul the rubble away or just knock down the standing part?
