Newbie here looking to buy a regulator. Looking down the road, want to get into wreck diving maybe even search and recovery. Looking at the regulators, how many HP and LP ports would I require? Some have 1 HP while others have 2 HP
Thanks

Yes, getting a regulator with only a single HP port will ruin plans for upgrading to a hose less computer.

For LP ports, you need one for your primary regulator, one for your octo and one for your inflater.

2 HP and 3LP should be common. You may find some lower priced regs with only 1 HP, nothing wrong with those if you arn't going hose less.

More ports (both HP and LP) can give you more options to route the hoses, even if you're not planning on using an air integrated computer.

You need 3 LP ports minimum, 4 with a drysuit.
You need 1 HP port minimum, 2 if you want an air integrated computer AND a backup SPG.
