How to tell the difference in the old and new XXL size Jet Fins?

There are some used XXL jet fins coming on the market (Craig's List, etc) that look like they might be recently purchased XXL Jet Fins. In 2010, Scubapro created a new XXL size and renamed the old XXL to an XXXL. I need the new XXL size.

Some of these folks selling their Jet Fins don't know if they are the old or new XXL size. Does anyone know how to tell for sure? Is there a special marking or measurement I can ask the sellers about?

If they can fit their head and shoulders in the foot pocket, they're the old XXL Jets.
