Hi everyone,

I have an old Dyron super wide-angle lens that I use on a metal Isotta housing. However, the lens thread is plastic and has started to wear out with repeated use. I can't use it anymore because I fear it might come off during a dive. It still grips a bit but comes loose very easily and skips the thread if tightened too much.

Have any of you encountered a similar problem?

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

Thanks a lot!

I would see if I could find a bayonet system that would work with the housing and lenses. Then bond the lens into one of the bayonet adapters and never thread a lens ever again and each lens having it's own bayonet adapter.

That's an idea I hadn't thought of!
