I have a ScubaPro console with SPG, Aladin 2G computer and compass. I'm planning to move the Computer to a wrist boot and use a wrist compass too. Is there a way to remove the SPG from the console boot so I have just the SPG on a hose?

Yes. Most likely if you look on the back you are going to see a total of 6 screws laid out in pairs. Remove all six screws this will allow you to take the back cover off. Slide the SPG out, disconnect the hose. Remove hose from console, reconnect the SPG (don't forget the little spindle). Done.

^Sounds like he has you dialed.

If you ever need to removed gauges from boots in other circumstances hot water can be a great help too.

No screws on the back of this console. On the top, near the base where the hose enters, it looks like there is a glued on hatch. I tried prying it up, but no go. Where the hose enters, the boot is splined, so maybe a tool reaches down in to unscrew it? Hmmm...

That was the right clue. I soaked it in hot water, then bent the console and pushed the gauge up and through. I could then detach the gauge, pull the hose back out, and re-attach the gauge.
