Hi!
After three years with compact I´ve decided to get a DSLR. I think I make a choice between Nikon D80 and Canon EOS 400D.

I´ve studied websites a lot and it seems to me that Sea&Sea or Hugyfot housings would be my choice. I have Sea&Sea strobe and I would like to have TTL to function.
Well the new Seatool is also very interesting but perhaps too new and unknown in the market…

My problem is that I don´t understand these lens charts.

In Sea&Sea chart (http://www.camerasunderwater.co.uk/sea_sea/slr/N-lens.html) there is a list of gears and ports. Does it mean that I have to buy both …gear (aperture or focus, what is it?) and one or two ports (depends on the lens)?

Hugyfot lens chart (http://www.camerasunderwater.co.uk/slr/hugyfot/Nikon_lens.html) has words Port, Extension, Delrin gear ring, Silicone gear ring…

I don´t undestand these charts so it´s impossible to make a decisions.
Please I need some advice how to read charts.

I know everything depends on what lens I want to buy.
Well kit lens for D80 is AF-S18-70mm
and for 400D EF-S 18-55mm
but Sigma 17-70 is also very interesting option.

Sorry for my poor english!

hy i have had the same problem your best bet is to call a dealer and or the manufacture. i am thinking of going with a housing form http://www.aquatica.ca they seem to be sound my frind has one and loves it. one word of causion is that the sea and sea housing for the d400 is lacking a key butten. the one that access the menu butten has been removed from the housing for the D400 but the housing for the d350 dose have this butten. i have see a modifide D350 housing from sea and sea that works with the d400 looked real easy to do. the long and short of it is that am now going with aquatica housing for a canon 30D. in stead of a 400D and a sea and housing.
