Hi: I've just picked a used Haskel Booster Pump. Seek suggestions on ways to oxygen clean this pump (AC-50).

Thanks, John C. USA

Its not only a matter of cleaning to make a device O2 safe.
It also has to do a lot with the materials used. If the pump was not built by Haskel to handle O2 it most likely has the wrong material parts. I would suggest you contact Haskel and ask them if that pump can be converted to handle O2. If it can, they can supply the correct parts.

Pumping high pressure O2 can be extreamly dangerous, its not something for the novice DIYer. There are a few stories about guys having O2 fires in there garage. Make sure you really know and understand what your doing.

I have seen 1 haskel blow up because it wasn't made to pump oxygen. Be very careful here, and even after talking to the manufactuer, talk to some people who are using haskels to pump oxygen and see what sop they are doing.
