Now for the full metal dental pick, which is a much thicker metal. First straighten it out:

Then hammering in the hook:

Now the angled turn... hey that's not too bad! And the thicker metal is much better, and I was able to extract a HP port o-ring without issues! Below is the Scuba Gaskets hook on the left, the latest new full metal body in the middle, and the white plastic handle one from earlier on the right:

And because in SCUBA we are all about redundancies, and these picks came with two ends, I proceeded to create the one and only, the double double-hook pick!!! Which I am probably going to end up just accidentally poking a tendon out of my wrist when I have a hard o-ring to pick out...

Don't forget to now draw a Sharpie line down the shaft of the pick on the side directly opposite the point, and then hatch that line on its right side.
When you can see the hatching, your sharp tip is now pointing straight at the smooth o-ring sealing groove, ready to scratch it. When your shaft is clean and the hatching has rotated clockwise out of sight, the smooth curved side of your hook is resting against the groove.
Not too important in a bcd hose end, where you can see the hook. But deep inside a Mk5, Mk10 or other older piston, it's helpful to know the orientation of the point when you're working entirely by feel.

Men those things are lethal I wouldn't trust myself, I don't even trust myself with nasal hair trimmers
