How to get an automatic mail when a new post appears on a post

When I want to follow a threat, I go to tools and ask to get an immediate notification by email whan a new post is answered.

But when I just contribute to a new post, I am automatically "watching" it but do not get automatic emails. How can I have automatic emails for these thretas/subjects.

Please help. Thank you

Click on your user name, go to Alert Preferences, check the box for Watched Threads. If you still have a problem let me know and I'll have a look-see what's going on on the backend.

Go to Preferences instead of Alert Perferences as mentioned above. There you will see the top box is checked to automatically watch threads you reply too. Under it there is a blank checkbox for an email alert as well.

If you want to always receive an e-mail - check these boxes instead.
