It doesn't make any sense, and I will never use it.

Use the shaking head emoticon some more please. Ooohh poor skuldeformity doesn't know any better:shakehead. Ooooh woe is he, I hope he doesn't die because he doesn't understand my grand wisdom:shakehead.

The thing I don't like about it is wheen someone flashes with a dark glove in front of their dark wetsuit. It's hard to see.

I prefer the single hand vertical and horizontal method.

I agree, that could be a serious problem. For us, it's either gloveless (warm water) or blue smurf gloves in cold. Very easy to read.

It is something I discovered early in my diving during AOW as we were always diving cold water. We were briefed before the night dive to be sure and signal away from your body with the light on your hands.

Dude, that's flash TWICE for 1000 (five fingers = 500PSI). How often are you checking his pressure? I know my buddies pressure to within 200 PSI at all times because I know my pressure. In any case, it just doens't take any time. How you can say it isn't "logical" makes me question whether you know what that word means.

Why not use another symbol for 1k psi???....The one I've seen used more & the one I use is your index finger over your forearm, 2 fingers for 2k etc etc........sort of like the pinky up for 15'/3 min SS.....short & sweet.....
