I bought a regulator set and there was an old mares computer too. There isn't nothing like product name or a product number and a screw etc. too. Maybe have anybody experience how change a battery ?
Thank a lot ;) 20160816_205933.jpg 20160816_205948.jpg

I too just acquired one of these, and it is deader than a doornail. From this thread it seems that the best thing to do with it is to trash it. However, does anyone know of a modern version of this bottom timer that would fit in place of this? Or is it just a stock size? Thanks.

what else is on your console? maybe you could try SPG only.

Did you put it in water to see if it turns on?

Looks like a bottom timer with water contacts.

I have that same Mares bottom timer, it is dead and cannot appear to change battery.

@Chip Elliott look for a Uwatec bottom timer, will be the same size. That is what I have. you can sometimes find them used for not to bad a price. But honestly, if you are looking for a bottom time, I would go with an inexpensive computer like the Veo that will work in gauge mode and run it that way.

I did find this online, it looks like a 'modern' version of what I have.

If you're looking for a replacement for the bottom timer, the Scubapro/Uwatec ones are simple reliable and cheap. I have an older Uwatec one and use that as my backup/loaner bottom timer. They don't have many features but if you're looking for a simple no frills bottom timer then they are just great.

That link I posted is the new Aqualung/Uwatec that I could find.

Check with Brass Anchor SCUBA Center in Frederick, Maryland. They specialize in changing batteries in older timers and computers.

They did a great job with mine.
