2028 is all booked out, except one week in July during the Monsoon season.

Someone else should build a nearby luxury resort to add some competition lol. Seems like a great business opportunity. 4 year wait list now. Clearly the location is high demand enough.

I guess the 2029 wait list is already full of people? So basically sold out until 2030.

I ended up just booking at Sorido Bay, which looks gorgeous and has great service I heard. I will probably find a 2-3 night liveaboard that does the Misool area after my stay at Sorido. Someone should really open up a competitor nearby if demand is that high for the area.

It takes a special kind of brave and perhaps crazy to own a dive resort in that part of the world. Some of the stories I have heard from Max A. are beyond incredible.

What boat did you go on? I'm doing something similar next year. Misool Eco Resort for a week, then as 12 day liveaboard Emperor Harmoni cruising Raja Ampat and Triton Bay.

To get in at Misool Eco Resort you pretty much need to join a trip run by a dive operator like your LDS, etc. I've been there twice and signed up years in advance each time. I think they largely sell their spaces to operators than can fill a big chunk of the resort.

It may feel this way, but no, you can book Misool direct as a single diver or small group (like a family of 2 or 4). Get on their waiting list (which is~3 years out now I think), they will get a hold of you when they open up bookings for that year. You need to book quickly, but it's possible. We had a slot in 2027 that we had to turn down because a work committment (or at least one we thought was going to be a conflict). We'll look at 2028 when those dates open up...

It is a bit easier if you can get in with a group that already has a booking - because the reservation will likely be a little sooner (because they booked a while ago).

2028 was open for about a week, it's completely sold out now and the waiting list for 2029 is so full that it will be booked so by the time 2029 opens up, it will be full too.

2028 was open for about two weeks... I know because we were offered a choice of weeks for 2028 as well, but it did disappear quite quickly.
