Hi every one, i will like to get some feed back in how much weight to wear in my next dive, i dive dry, but all my past dives have been with Al 80's, this weekend i will be diving with steel 120's, could somebody give me an estimate on how much weight can i take off my belt since the steel tanks carry more weight?

I know i have to do a buoyancy check with this new configuration, but you can save me some time, plus i won't have to carry all my weights with me.

Thank you

Too many variables. Based on buoyancy of the tanks alone, you might be able to shed 2-5 pounds.

I think 4 pounds is a good start, do your bouyancy check, and you may yake some more off. Good luck!

I know when I used a steel 80 (85 maybe), I took alot more weight off than I expected. I realized how overweighted I was to keep myself horizontal when the weight wasnt on my back. If i recall, I took off about 3 or 4 just for that change, and my guess is that you might have more if you are in the same boat (espeically with the 120)

Thank you guys, i'll start with 4 and then will see what happen.
