How Many West Wing fans do we have?

he says some pretty nasty stuff to him. Martin Sheen is a REALLY devout catholic, so I heard that it was really awkward from him to do that one scene.

I am really scared. I think that this is going to be the last season. It the itch in me. this or next season... The sixth season starts on October 20. I heard that the Kate girl (the Deputy Secretary of Defence, i think) is going to be a regular next season, but that might not be true. There are going to be more people coming on in the process. I think that John Wells is taking the show in the ER direction- making it a Josh Donna soap opera and... just messing it up.

Its was simply the best show on TV for years... today I'm not so sure. It was the best written, the smartest, the finest shot, the best developed show on TV. Aaron's departure was noticed and is missed by us true fans (I've gotten to the point where I can guess the writer / director of any given episode... I know get a life) but it is really, really good stuff. What a show.

We have season 1 and 2 on DVD. I got hurt this weekend, so I spent a lot of time watching the marathon this weekend, as it was in season 3 and 4. Glad they Moira booted after season one. I miss Ainsley.

Season 3 DVD comes out in Nov. Can't wait. Season 4 started circling the drain for me... season 5... eh. Its getting pretty thin.

And you're right - when a show gets a little long in the tooth and/or when our attention span has been reduced to the level when sharp, smart writing and excellent shooting can't carry a show, but it always has to be something big (think Little (out)House on the Prarie - this week flood, next weekl locusts, next week wild fires, etc...) its time to move on. Killing off Fitz was pretty heavy for me. I think this ride is over.

Good news is we still have two more excellent seasons to get on DVD... and 4 spectacular seasons is very rare in any series.

Yeah, I'm a fan.

well its also that the show can only last for so long without having to make another administration. I think they can only make two more in the the given time frame..... let me see if i can get it right.

1st season- that was their second year in office, 1st term.
2nd- third year in office.
3rd- this was the year when the ball started rolling in the election. this start like.... int he end of the thrid year and starting to get into the fourth.
4th- the election and the fifth year.
5th- this was pretty much the sixth year.

so there are going to be two more seasons if it goes on like this....

I know I can't really talk about Politics that much, but I think one of the reasons Aaron Sorkin quit was beacuse he was getting a lot of smack talking and stuff from the right wing. Bush brought in the republicans and the right wing, and I could smell satire. I would be disgruntled if i was a bush supporter or a conservative. Maybe this is just me, but i don't think it was all the drug addiction. We'll never know.

I really hope he comes back. I know i know he won't but maybe he will come back and write some episodes... pump some more life back into it.
