The 1st PADI Vintage Double Hose Regulator Specialty course was completed last night. We all learned a lot and had plenty of laughs. Some of the divers said it ...was the most interesting scuba course they'd taken - which was pretty gratifying for me. I sometimes wonder if people get tired of my talking about the early days of scuba diving. But even I had a good time diving with 50 year-old scuba regulators.
For the technical types, we were using a 1968 Royal Aquamaster, a 1964 Aquamaster, a 1962 Aqualung Jet Air, a 1962 Sportsways Waterlung and a 1959 Voit Lung (a la Sea Hunt).
Here's some pictures to enjoy.

Not that I love vintage gear, it just reminds me of when life was good. I am restoring my Atpak, with marbles for ballast, and hope to have its maiden voyage in Jan. If it sucks, I'll let everyone know. My Posiedon from 1974 still works under the ice and in the tropics. I think I am going back to basics. Cheers
