TRAPEZUS
Perhaps I can explain a little about this movie.
This movie which was produced many years ago is only a fraction of the LA Co UW instructor association produced movie "Any one for diving." All those featured in the movie were LA Co UW instructors
The first part featured the late Pete Manos and Dottie Frazier, (the world first certified UW instructor, who is 94 and doing great) - which was narrated by the late great John D Craig (Danger is my Business) who off screen asks the question have you been trained as a diver by LA Co? They hadn't ...(NAUI was still several years in the future and PADi was at least 15 years away..) So it was a pioneering effort
It then breaks to the portion of the film on the deck.. the first instructor was the late Morgan Degn who was instructing basic diving gas laws ( the red headed lady was his wife)
The "advanced" portion (LA Co taught a very comprehensive basic course - the advanced would be still a component of the basic course) so it was a mistake. The lecturer was the late great Tommy Thompson FYI LA Co produced the worlds first Advanced Ding program in 1967 - the 3 months long famous never equaled LACO ADP-- .
The girl who loses her mask is Zale Parry - the world's third female UW instructor, who is still active and well who is the DEMA Diving ambassador at large.
The other omitted portion is after the Catalina dive there is a rejoining of the divers from the boat (the LOU LOU- George & Don ??). the divers compare their adventure as the late Allan Petre prepares a sea food lunch on the beach
And the John D Craig begins a narration that diving is fun and for every one but become trained before attempting diving.
So many memories long dormant -- I certainly appreciate all your many efforts - Keep up the great work
