How many of you got a cool dive gift for fathers day or other water type item?

I guess we are lucky that we enjoy a sport full of gear. It at least gives people a place to check out when trying to think of what to get someone. I wondered how many of you received or gave a dive or other water related gift on this day. I wanted to share the unique gift I received because I thought it was really cool and different.

My wife/favorite dive buddy gave my a GPS drawing that read DAD on it. It was a done on the surface of the water while she was paddle boarding at our near by lagoon. She had made a cool Happy fathers Day card and on the face she placed the GPS drawing of the route she paddled on the Lagoon. She wrote the word Dad. Kind of like a sky writer but on the water, I thought it was totally cool!



It wasn't a dive gift but it was water related and ingenuous.

With the card I also got a twelve of my favorite beer. IPA Ballast point (SCULPIN). Good Stuff. Can't go wrong with good beer!!!

I got a card this morning with a picture of the new dive bag I wanted.

Went out to lunch then movies with the family to see Pixar's Inside Out.

Came home with my Mom providing prime steaks for the grill. Got a cold beer, grilled the steaks, had very nice wine to pair.

Great day. Now, can't wait to use that bag ....

I got a couple of hours of kayaking with my wife and kids. No diving but there was water involved.

Forgot to add. The Father's day card also came with a gift card to the dive shop. The picture was what the gift card was for. The family didn't really know which new bag I wanted and didn't have time to order so they gave me the gift card instead. I needed a slightly bigger bag since my oldest daughter is now diving as well and instead of a single set of gear we now have to take two sets of gear on vacation. The bigger bag now has to hold two BC's with two sets of fins. Time to start getting ready for that summer vacation, and some diving on the side!
