Okay, Diver0001, I'll grant you that anxiety happens. I don't happen to agree that foxfish's posts or this thread are about "anxiety".
He told us in a previous post that he was a government official tasked with getting rid of sharks to help the tourist industry.
LOL, no, it is how YOU percieve the big picture. You appear to be projecting, which may or may not be appropriate. At this time, my perception of Foxfish motives is not in line with yours.
This reminds me of a movie...and I challenge all of you, because I don't believe that ANYONE is completely fearless, to be as honest as he has been (in his own way) about what freaks you out.
I think the poll is flawed, not just because of the answers, but also because of the input group. I am sure there is a difference between people who are serious divers, people who dive year round or who dive for a living, and people who go on a two week dive vacation once a year. If one is flying out 20 hours once a year to get to where he/she would like to dive, and had the choice between a place where there have been no reports of shark attacks, and a place where there are reports of fatal shark attacks, same distance, same price, similar dive experience, I could very well imagine more people have a tendency to go to the place where there are no reports.
