Hi all,
I am planning a dive trip and I am hesitating between Honduras (Roatan or Utila), Cozumel or Aruba. I dove many times in Cozumel, never went to Honduras but my dive magazines and internet are rich in information. It's not the case for Aruba. I found a few good hints here and there but not much.

So, my questions are: When is the best time to visit, what kind of viz should I expect, is the reef healty, how is the marine life (abudance, diversity)

Thanks in advance,

Chablis

From Aruba you're just a short flight away to excellent diving on either Bonaire or Curacao. Viz on both is excellent, Curacao has a much larger population so more non-dive activities. Both also have excellent shore diving.

Insel Air, Dutch Antilles Express and others have reasonably priced multiple flights per day to/from Aruba. Insel also flies direct from MIA if that's more convenient. And they codeshare with someone now afaik.

Aruba has some great wreck diving, the critters are abundant, and the coral is healthy. Having said that, I would rather dive Roatan given a choice. Another place to consider is Belize.
