Going diving this weekend off the coast of new Smyrna beach. What do you guys think the visibility and currents will be like after Faye?

Thanks I saw on your profile that you are a dive shop employee or owner. we are going out saturday with sea dog divers but we are staying in orlando and would like to do a spring dive somewhere on sunday or monday. Do you work in Orlando

I dove of Ft Lauderdale Sat. The vis was pretty bad. Maybe 10 ft or so close to the beach, and perhaps 15 ft or so further out. We did a beach dive. There was a distinct temp drop in temperture at about 10-15 ft. The surface water at the beach was about 85 and full of churned up sand. After getting out 200 yards or so and descending to perhaps 10-15 ft, the temp dropped to about 76 and the vis cleared up a little. Enough so I could get some pics. The only reason I went was to try out my new Sealife DC 800.

I spoke to one of the guys in the dive shop on Monday, and he said the vis was not a lot better yet.

We're going to try again this Sat, either a kayak dive if the sea state lets us or if not then the Blue Heron Bridge.

I'll get some good pictures yet.
