If I could fit my gear into a crew cabin, there is no reason why one couldn't fit their gear into a guest cabin. My girlfriend always loved it when it came to drying my gear...

You are right on with this number.

We do not bring our gear to save money; we bring our gear because we like diving our gear. I haven't worn a jacket BCD in years and don't want to start now.

I take it you use a wing then? If so, how is that for packing and traveling? My wife and I love to cruise and want to dive when on different cruises.

Lowdrag...I use the Zeagle Express tech with the 30 lbs 360 donut bladder. It is very light and when deflated, takes probably less room than a towel in your luggage.

I was just basing it off of my old ads from a year ago. In Cozumel a 2 tank dive with gear provided was $85.00 with out gear provided was $75.00

Cozumel has cheap rentals. In the keys its $35 a day and if you want a puter add $10-15..... I always bring my own equipment so what do I know! :D

Kryssa, it sounds like you're a very good planner. I bet you guys have delightful vacations!

My family says that in another life (before the internet) I was a travel agent. I love to travel and I love to plan!

I have a Dive Rite Transpac and my husband has the Transplate with the steel plate. Really it's not much trouble to travel with. We each check one back, and carry on a bag as well as "personal item." Checked back is full of larger diving gear (BC, fins, lights, suits) and clothes. Carry-on has smaller gear (camera, regs, computer, mask) and clothes. Personal item usually has my laptop and personal items.

I get to take a bit more because I don't have a steel backplate in my checked bag like my husband, but he won't wear another BC.
