well, there is also Quay like Circular Quay in Sydney. Juuuust stirring things up.

earlier this year on my cruise they pronounced it KEY and we weren't in FL.

It's pronounced the same, but it's not an island like the others are. A quay is a wharf built parallel to the shoreline.

That's what you get for asking a question like that on Scubaboard. Consensus is not our strong suit.
There is some goofy fishing show on that is some name, I can't remember, and then Cay Chronicles. On that show they pronounce it "kay"
