I bought a few of these special hanging devices which I fastened to the wall. Because of their unique design and construction I am able to align one of the the holes on my BP's with the distal end of these devices in order to hang them to dry...

Love it - LOL!

I'm glad I'm not drinking anything while reading some of the replies b/c I might need a new screen; some funny stuff

I have the most expensive hanging system for my b/c - a wrought iron railing off my patio; replacement cost 8 - 10k

Seriously; don't use cheap metal shirt hankers and you will be fine

Yeah, they like to do that. After I got my NEED AID (Now Entire Education Done Advanced Internet Diver) certification it's the only reason I come back here.

I made a wetsuit hanger by cutting a piece of pool "noodle" the length of a plactic hanger and cutting a slit down one side all the way into the middle hole

i love this idea. how long have you had a wetsuit hanging on the noodle?
Some materials just don't like each other. I had some rubber fishing lures i put in a plastic box. within days the lures melted & fused with the clear plastic lid of the box.
I'd be concerned that the color of the noodle may bleed or worse.
if you have this in place for a few months without issue, I'm on my way to the pool store.

I use pool noodles or also foam neoprene pipe insulation works well too, it is already slit longitudinally and has an adhesive that is activated by puling off a cellophane strip. either work well. I like to double up two sturdy plastic hangers under the padding because a heavy suit will eventaully weaken a single hanger.

I just mention since you have had the fusion experience, in NY I am surprised. I'd consider them disposable and check frequently. They get brittle and break before disintegrating. Don't know about NY but here - the noodles, anything foamy, disintegrates crumbling into an irritating powder that cannot be coaxed to go away.
Make a good car/tank rack for a year or so too, no bleeding I've noticed.

I found these plastic snap-on thingies at Walmart. They fit any cheapo plastic hanger. Wouldn't recommend a plastic hanger for a BC, but it's plenty strong enough for a dry 3-5mm wetsuit. Something like $3 for two sets.

Come to think of it, am I wrong for putting this stuff in a box instead of hanging it for storage? Will my wetsuit suddenly fail and kill me? :D

No jswantek, your wetsuit will not fail and kill you. My first wetsuit lasted me 20 years packed in my dive bag between dives...I'm still alive and my wetsuit didn't leak or perish!

That wetsuit was a two-piece and I was getting a bit embarrassed diving with it due to the crunching effect between the legs!!

My second wetsuit is a one-piece stored in my dive bag between bags. You don't need fancy hangers to store a wetsuit.:D:D

I bought a bc hanger because I was tired of finding my bc on the floor the next morning. My wetsuit goes on an old overcoat hanger, but I've noticed that it might be time to repace it. My boots, gloves, hood, mask, and regs get laid over one of those fold-up drying racks.

A while back, I found that my gloves and boots were not drying because the openings were flapping over. So now I have a few red Solo "Keg Cups" that I punched the bottoms out of and I slide into the boots and glove to keep them open. Then they go on the wood rack with the openings pointed at the floor. I use the same trick for winter gloves as well. Works like a charm.
