How do you do a burn test?

I have just been putting my light in a tank of water and tracking how long it takes for the light to start dimming and finally go out.

However, I just received a light back from repair, and time was not one of the axes on the burn test graph. If I recall, the axes were volts vs. amps or something like that.

Your test is fine, but it's generally best not to let the light dim and go out completely, as completely draining your battery can be bad for it. Turn it off when it starts dimming significantly and put it right on the charger.
