We have 2 - 9.2 oz cans with holsters we'd like to carry around Yellowstone and Grand Teton when we go, but we're flying. These seem to be prohibited on planes, in US mail, and by UPS other than retailers shipping orders. I can understand why shippers don't want to handle such items packed by untrained civilians, but is there a way?

We can buy new cans there - for $40 to $50 each, then donate them to rangers when we leave, but I'd rather not. I think they rent them for like $30/week, which is not any more appealing.

thanks

Don't know the answer to your question but when we went to Alaska to fish, we had one of those fly-out adventures to fish a remote area. They would not allow bear spray inside the actual cabin of the float plane but they would allow it in the storage area of the floats.

We are headed to the Tetons on Saturday, June 4th.
