I am in UK now and I will take a flight to Singapore then transfer to Jakata. I know I can use Silk Air from Singapore to Manado, but for my friend departing from Taiwan, flying to Jakata and getting the same day flight to Manado is more efficient of time (he does not need to stay one night in Singapore). Therefore, we decide to meet in the Jakata CGK airport.

Now we have some problems to get the cheaper roundtrip airtickets (Lion Air) from Jakata to Manado and after some research, we got three options now:

1. Reservation and buy Lion Air tickets through their office in Singapore, because the staff there promised me to deliver the tickets to the Lion Air desk at SIN airport (their tickets are usually sold in the city office not in the airport)

2. Researvation and buy Lion Air tickets through travel agents in Jakata, and pay them to deliver the tickets to the CGK airport.

3. Buy the tickets in the airline desks after arriving at CGK airport.

We are really worried if we can get the ticket on reasonable price.

Please provide us some suggestions or some friends in Jakata can introduce reliable agent which can communicate in English.

Hi bear...

Firstly may be i should clear you about the airport in Jakarta, since you are from international flight you will be arrived at Cengkareng 2nd terminal, and if you plan to go to Menado by Lion Air therefore you need to go to Cengkareng 1st terminal (Lion at 1A terminal)

At this terminal you can find Lion air and his sister brand Wings Air (both offering Lowfare) help desk in the departure lounge. You can buy your ticket there or make reservation.

for reservation locally you can contact +62-21-6337272/63863838/83793422/8892316/72683888/53155678.

Or if you want to fly with low fare and bigger space (being 737, Lion using MD 82 narrow space) you can contact Batavia air at +62-21-3840888

Or local travel agen: Panen Tour at +62-21-5744430

OK...have a nice trip

Probably too late to comment but
1. You shouldn't have to stay overnight in Singapore -
2. But if you are at Changi Singapore for some hours you can a) rent a daybed, b) pay a small fee and hang out in the lounge (with coffee and refreshments on tap), c) do considerable shopping - the place is clean, quiet and comfy, d) go to the cinema, e) go swimming, f) take a free escorted coach tour of the city laid on by the airport which ususally includes a leg-stretcher such as a boat ride or a trip around a museum, g) have a shower, manicure, pedicure, massage etc etc.

We tend to build a stay at Changi into our trips.

3. Singapore Airlines sometimes have deals where roundtrip flights on Silk Air are "free" in a longhaul ticket.
