Maybe. But in my defence the op claims to be one but seems to struggle with basic practice. No offence was intended. I was just surprised that a psd would be worried by the situation. What are the skill requirements for psd? Or is it voluntary?

I am not a PSD, but I believe that you will find the skill requirements vary to some degree by location--specific departments may have some serious differences in training requirements. What are the skill requirements for psd?
Public Service Diving can be extremely hazardous. One just died in a PSD operation a month or so ago. You can't just go in and volunteer.I don't know, haven't a clue. I have spent my entire life performing paid and unpaid public services. Anyone who can get there rear out there and try is okay in my book.
