I'm a Fish!
Christmas is here and I need to get my list together. I'm looking for something to wear around my neck like a pendant, of either a tank, or fins, or something totally scuba.
Pouring over the internet, (don't try to find this stuff in Macy's or Nordstroms), most of what I find is somewhat "cheesy". Anyone know of a seller with good quality, nice looking scuba jewelry. I'd lke to buy something in gold or silver, not pewter or plate, and nothing heavy or gawdy. I'll wrap it up, and put it under the tree from Santa to me!
I did see a nice looking single tank at Exploration Design Studio, http://www.explorationdesign2.com/generic.jhtml?pid=55 but have been hesitant to buy it because the product images shown don't really look like the pieces that have actually been photographed on their site.
If anyone knows of a good site to buy quality jewelry, let me know. 'Tis the season!
Thanks and Happy Holidays
Susan

Wow, that tank is really nice - it even has a reg on it. I know that Leisure Pro has lots of jewelery on their website. Have you looked there? I have no idea as to their quality or "cheesyness" though.

Boy, that site has some really nice pieces -- I like the diver in doubles, myself!

Hi Susan,

I recently went to Overstock.com and there was a dive helmet and a single diver in 14K - they looked nice. I think it was in the auction section, but if you do a search on scuba gear I believe it pops up there.

I have that piece in gold. It was a gift purchased at a jewelry store in Spring Lake, NJ. Can tell you it is kind of big. A man can wear this charm. Will find out the name of the store.

Also saw the piece at the charm store on Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco Charms By the Bay last month

I wouldn't have thought of LeisurePro but you're right, they have some stuff. If anyone's interested, they have a Stering Silver Tech Diver that looks to be very detailed, a nice size, and good quality

I also found this one for the girls, which looks absolutely gorgeous but I can't bring myself to spend the $$$$$ since I keep thinking it's money I could spend toward another trip. Maybe Santa will come through......take a look, the site has some nice things for men as well

after you check out the divers, click on the give gear link. This stuff is pretty nice, thought I'd share cause a lot of us are looking for gifts for other people as well.

Thanks for the advice, I saw the pieces on Overstock, they're nice!
Happy holidays, if you find anything else you think is worth looking out, let me know!

My wife has a pair of do-it-yourself dive earrings. She wore a pair of gold ball earrings (about 3/8" diam) diving one day and discovered upon return that the pressure had crumpled them both! The looked like crumple gold foil.

Good God, makes you think about your organs at depth............
Happy Thanksgiving!

This is actually the store, in Brielle. The piece is not on their website, you would have to get a catalogue or stop in. Pricey but really nice pieces.

The tank has valve, first stage, hose and reg as well as a boot. Very detailed
