Housings for Canon Vixia HF S21

I just purchased a Canon Vixia HF S21 and want to know owner's thoughts on housings and lights, as well as the flood insurance programs out there.

I live in South Florida, so it will get a lot of use. The Gates looks gorgeous, but expensive. Any suggestions welcome.

Plus, is there a way to WB this camera underwater? It looks like the touch screen controls everything. Thanks.

Actually more expensive than gates, but smaller, lighter, and more ergonomic would be Light & Motion's Bluefin S21. The housing has a recorded IR script allowing one touch white balance by pressing one button on the right handle, opposed to navigating the Canon menu structure via the remote as required in other housings.

I am a big Ikelite fan, but I don't recommend Ikelite for this model as their is the need to use a mirror on the outside of housing, which means the image will be reversed. This would drive me CRAZY. :crazyeye:

Good point Robin. That would drive me insane also.

Actual image will be reversed when viewed through the mirror.

Robin- I should have mentioned that the Ikelite mirror feature was why I was knocking my beloved company, Ikelite, out of the running. They have been awesome to me over the years, so I feel guilty about it. But the Gates unit lets you use that beautiful big LCD panel as the viewfinder.

Do you guys find yourself doing more macro or wide angle work? Just curious.
