Hey guys, I've got a Canon G11 (love the camera... I've been doing pro work for a few years with Canon SLRs, and the G11 is the closest thing I've seen as far as the flexibility it gives you from a point-and-shoot) and I'm looking for a housing and strobe for it.

Currently I keep vacillating between the Fisheye FIX, the Patima, and the 10Bar... Anyone have any thoughts regarding the comparison of these? Reasons why (or more so, why not) to get a particular housing? Any thoughts on highly recommended accessories for each?

Also, strobe-wise, I'm leaning towards a D-2000, but I've noticed that 10Bar makes housings for a number of the Canon flashes; anyone had any experience with using these? Pros/cons?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice, guys. Also, with the FIX and the Patima I've noticed they're pretty heavily negatively buoyant, what are you guys using to counteract that? Thanks!

FIX with their wide angle port, 2XD2000. N

I've got a g11 with the Fix case and two stacked macro lenses. I really like the case as the stacked lenses work better with the case and g11 than my g7 and canon case did. The Fix lense adapter make it easier to switch between one, two or no macro lenses. I don't have any experience with the wide angle options. I use a z240 and big blue focus light with it. The shutter lever on the fix case really adds more throw so you can use it to check the focus when taking photos.

I have the Patima G11 housing and i am happy with it.
I is built like a tank, nicer building quality then the FIX and comes with 2 changable ports. 1 Wide Angle port with a 67mm tread to use srew-on WA wetlenses and a "generic" zoomport without any tread for wet lenses. Austrian UW-Photo shop underwasser.at is manufacturing a slide-on 67mm adapter for the zoom port to allow 67mm macro lenses to be used.
I wrote detailed pro/cons about the Patima housing, one of it is here: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/canon-corner/339120-patima-pdch-g11-housing-g11.html
The only higly recommened and necessay acessoire is a stobe where i would suggest the D-2000 as some people have issues with overexposure using 2 Z-240. A speedlight in a housing would be a fine thing, but the housings are rather on the expensive side, but if you have already a Canon Speedlite you can use it with the Patima housing. More "economic" Housings for the Canon EX580 are available also from: Fantasea, Aquatech or Patima.
You only have to verify if you need the Patima Housing with a Nikonos 5-Pin or a Patima 6-Pin bulkhead and cable. You may try to rent a housing to verify if and how good it works using the native e-ttl protocol.
