Housing for Powershor S2 IS

Hello everybody,

I´m a spanish diver who has just reached this web looking for some info.

Here in Spain is almost impossible for me to know if there is going to appear a housing for the Powershot S2 IS camera.Maybe someone there in the States can get more info.
I´m very interested in getting this camera but it will be very helpful to know if there is going to appear a case for it. Right now, I'm not going to take underwater pictures, but in a nearly future, I'm sure I will so if a case is going to appear, I'm sure this will be my new camera.

I could be mistaken but I think the only housing available for that cam is made by ikelite. Check out http://www.ikelite.com. Ikelites are a little on the pricey side but I've heard their customer service is very good.

I already had seen it, but it is 750$!!Not a very good choice comparing with the price of Canon cases. I guess this is gonna be a tough search!!

$750!!!! Wow, that is expensive. Good luck on your search. I found one for 674 on BH photo site. I wonder why is it so expensive just for and PnS cam?

I just realized, for the same amount of money for the housing you could get a canon a610 and the corresponding ikelite housing (they're pricing it at 260+ right now) for the same price as the housing for that s2 is.

Canon says on their website that they are not making a case for the S2. So, if you are looking for a cheap Canon case you should consider a different camera model.
