Its not in yet, but I bought a Pentax K1000 with which to learn the fine art of land-based photography :)

I was wondering if anyone could point me to places to buy underwater housings for this camera?

I'm excited about finally owning a "real" camera

Sorry, I am not aware of any Pentax houses. You may need to buy a customized one.

The below manufacturer make 'plastic bags' fitting most cameras. But I wouldn't recommend one...

Ikelite makes housings for some of the Pentax cameras. I've had my Ikelite housing for my ME super for twenty years. I will state that it has produced some excellent photos. Your stobe is very important as well as the housing. After having a film 35mm after all these years I'm looking at purchasing one of the new digital cameras, perhaps it will be the new Fuji S2 but someone has to make a housing first.
