I've had to wire transfer deposits to dive resorts and hotels before, and it's been neither easy nor cheap. But credit cards aren't always better. The one time I sent in a credit card form by fax to a dive operator in Indonesia that requested it (and had no option for paying on-line), the very next day I found someone had made a fraudulent charge on it.
