Javier Aranda Pedrero, manager of the Association of Hotels of Cozumel, makes sure that this year the standards of tourist occupation have broken in the island, due to the new flights that began to connect it with different cities of the United States. The hotel leader adds that today the hotel occupation is 96 %; nevertheless, he calculates that during the present week it comes to 100 % for the first time in 15 years.

The occupation registered for the same date last year was 87.18 % in 3:200 rooms that they belong to the Association. In whole the offer is 4,000. At present 129 flights come to the island a week. Nevertheless, due to the changes in the operation of Aerocaribe, from next month it will stop producing the air bridge Cancún-Cozumel, which will concern the destination since more than 15,000 visitors are got a year by this vía. — Liliana Macotela.

We go each year at the end of April first of May,then again at the end October first of November.And sometimes sneak an extra trip in July.We like Nov. it's usally less crowded.BUT any time in Cozumel is GREAT :07:
