Hotel on shore in Cozumel

Hi! I'm new to the board and this is my first post, so please forgive any breaches of ettiqette...
I'm looking for a nice clean hotel in walking distance to downtown for eats, drinks, and shopping etc. Would like a hotel that allows for shore diving (at night if possible) and I would like to use Blue XT Sea Diving. I'm not into the "all inclusive or landlocked cruise ship atmosphere" if you get my drift...Have stayed at the Plaza Las Glorias and dove with Aqua Safari, but would like to try something a little different this time. Any suggestions?

Hi DiveDiva, welcome to the board lots of info and opinions here. The Caribe Blue sounds like what you are looking for. They just did a lot of renovations (use search key for more threads on this hotel) it is close to town. about a 15-20 min walk or 3.00 cab ride.
