I love Diving the keys, and actually plan on taking a dive class down there but have a slight problem. I got two dogs (very old black lab and a Australian Shepard).

All the places I could search on line down there pretty much have a weight limit of like 15 or 25lbs for the dog. anyone know of a place that is more friendly to dog owners? Now mind you, last time I bordered these two it cost as much as my stay in the Keys (about $17/day each)

$17 a day is a deal compared to.what we pay in Northern California. Our dog day care charges $50 for overnights.

If you are staying in the Keys for $34 per night, I have been doing something wrong for years!

In any event, we rent from Largo Gardens Vacation Rental - VRBO 130331 - 2 BR Key Largo Mobile Home in FL, Our Keys Home- a Pet Friendly Key Largo Paradise. No problem with dogs - we take our 80 lb dog with us when we stay.

Well, add in taxes and I have to throw an extra $40 for grooming that is required. Also, I got very social dogs. I mean, the lab actually would get whiney if your drinking beer and you didn't pour some into his bowl. the other, just strange and funny. Also, he is my 'walking buddy'.

Oh, I can believe it. But got to remember cost of living has a lot to do in prices of services. I actually went to the 'high end' of kenneling my dog at the Vet for $11/night. I had places as low as $7/night if you provided your own food.

The BlackFin in Marathon is pet friendly. Took the 86 lb Golden Retriever there, no problem.:)
