I'm new to diving and new to hot flashes. Looking for input as I decide what to purchase my own wetsuit. I have rented 5mil Shorties loved that in Caribbean waters. Dove with a 7 mil in Saba. And lake Ontario in canada. How do you handle staying warm enough in 59-70 degree water and still be able to manage hot flashes. I just took my drysuit course and almost passed out from hot flashing. So drysuit diving is not an option.

I have also had in-water hot flashes. I have passed through the phase of never being cold again, but still occasionally get them, both in and out of the water.
